Awakn Clinics offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Operating in two locations, they run 11-week programs for people suffering from PTSD, anxiety and depression.
This industry is still young and as a result, advertising is highly regulated. Although KAP is approved and certified in the UK, Google Ads does not accept the certification.
Awakn Clinics had never advertised before. So in addition to running ads legally and avoiding potential bans, our media buyers had to develop their initial strategy.
This was no small feat. It’s extremely easy to get banned for using restricted terms on pages and ads. It was also impossible to target the most relevant search terms.
By using dummy accounts, our media buyers were able to identify the terms that could be safely targeted and landing page copy that wouldn’t trigger bans. We developed a strategy around these “safe” keyword verticals and implemented it with some extra precautions.
Because the client wanted to use Hubspot forms instead of Unbounce forms, we also created an advanced setup to A/B test the landing pages and track conversions properly.
Additionally, to turn Awakn’s MQLS into SQLs, we built a funnel that nurtured the leads we were sending them.
In the screenshot below, you can see we had a conversion rate of 3.56% at a cost of €49.93 per lead over the first month of running ads.
After 24 weeks of running ads, we were able to increase the conversion rate by 100% and drop the cost per lead to €20.30 (a decrease of 59.1%).
